Very important event yesterday 24th May at OHB Italia: The Mayor of Milan Giuseppe (Beppe) Sala visited the headquarters in via Gallarate 150. The management of the company and a team representing a network of local scientists and professors from INAF-Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (Mr. Filippo Zerbi), IASF-Istituto di Astrofisica Spaziale e Fisica Cosmica (Mrs. Bianca Garilli), Osservatorio di Brera (Mr. Roberto Della Ceca) and Politecnico di Milano-Dipartimento di Scienze e Tecnologie Aerospaziali (Mr. Giuseppe Sala) welcomed him and his staff.
The Mayor was impressed from the expertise he could “see & touch” in the integration Clean Room and he defined OHB Italia as “a world technological excellence located in the heart of Milan, for which the City should be proud “
The space sector will be a great opportunity for Milan in the next years and the Mayor has firmly underlined that point in his Facebook post on OHB Italia (https://www.facebook.com/beppesalasindaco/).
Mr. Aceti, CEO of the company, stated: “Milan has to restart its path towards the future and the space business will be one key asset for the City in the post-covid era. We are fully ready, with our products, to provide innovative satellite services to face the new challenges of tomorrow.”
