The high-tech laboratories and Clean Rooms of #OHBItalia hosted a visit of the students from Politecnico di Milano.
The company opened the doors of its plant to show them the technological and scientific activities being performed and to give them a closer view to a space factory that have been operating in Milan for more than 40 years.
The students had the opportunity to observe the payloads’ production process and how OHB Italia invested in technological development to implement a-state-of-the-art capability in the space domain.
As a reference partner in more than 50 international space missions, OHB Italia research activities include close collaborations with Politecnico di Milano.
Moving between production/integration clean rooms and test laboratories, talking to OHB Italia designers and technicians, the students learned how to manage innovative technologies, decreasing the gap between the world of education and the industrial practice.
Creating more and more synergy between the research, the production system and the academy will help to face better the modern space challenges and to create innovation. University and industry must be connected to enable the technological growth of the whole Country.
