On 30 March 2026, eight additional Eaglet II satellites were successfully launched, representing a significant milestone for the #IRIDE programme.
Following the liftoff, #LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase) operations started, requiring a coordinated and consistent effort among all the involved teams. People from OHB Italia S.p.A., Telespazio, Leaf Space and European Space Agency – ESA operated from the Mission Control Centre in Rome, ensuring continuous support.
All planned LEOP activities were smoothly concluded in approximately 30 hours, with formal declaration of completion for all satellites.
The programme now moves to the #commissioning phase to achieve full operational capability.
We also acknowledge the valuable contribution of Optec SpA and Aresys to the development of the constellation.
