WORK-IN-PROGRESS FOR IRIDE CONSTELLATION

The European Space Agency and OHB Italia have signed last year an important contract for the development of a first batch of 12 satellites as part of the IRIDE constellation in the frame of PNRR (Piano Nazionale Ripresa e Resilienza), with the strong support of ASI-Agenzia Spaziale Italiana.

IRIDE is the most important European space program for Earth observation in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and represents a fundamental component of Next Generation EU dedicated to the development of space activities. OHB Italia is delivering a constellation of Eaglet II satellites and the related Flight Operation System (FOS). As you can see in the picture the activities are progressing very smoothly!

OHB Italia is responsible for satellite development, launch, in-orbit management and dual-use space asset, which provides an unprecedent persistent surveillance capability. Services generated by the constellation will be destined to a range of essential national requirements as marine/terrestrial surveillance; climate change; atmospheric monitoring; security; emergency management.

Stay tuned for future update!
