NEW IMPORTANT #PRISMA ACQUISITION OVER THE BUSAN URBAN AREA IN #SOUTHKOREA
This new PRISMA’s view (satellite realized for #ASI – Agenzia Spaziale Italiana by #OHBItalia as Prime Contractor) covers the urban area of Busan, the second most populous city in South Korea. The left part of the frame shows an image obtained by combining the red, green and blue bands, while the right part shows a processing of the infrared channel.
Busan is an important maritime hub with many trade routes to the #EurasianContinent, located at the mouth of the Nakdonggang River, the longest river in South Korea. The city is also home to many research centres and universities, and there are plans to build a floating,#sustainablecity in its coastal waters to mitigate the effects of rising sea levels.
