On 22nd and 23rd April at OHB Italia HQs in Milan was successfully held the GENESIS Kick-Off Meeting.
GENESIS is a unique space observatory that will measure the Earth from space with millimetric detail. OHB Italia SpA as Prime Contractor of the ESA mission, will be responsible for the project management, the system engineering coordination, the construction of the Ground Segment and for the procurement of launch services, as well as for two years of satellite operation.
The agenda of the meeting was full of activities with focus on planning, arranging the technical baseline and scheduling the next steps. At the end all the GENESIS team had a tour of our facility, clean rooms and laboratories.
ESA and OHB Italia teams setup a very good framework for future positive development of the GENESIS program.
