#IAC22 – ABSTRACT: EXPLOITING THE SYNERGIES OF OBSERVING NEO AND SPACE DEBRIS WITH THE #FLYEYE #TELESCOPE

Co-authors: OHB Italia / ASI-Agenzia Spaziale Italiana
Name of the session: 2-A6.10 – Joint Technical Session “Near-Earth Objects & Space Debris”.

The wide Field of View ( #FoV) of FLYEYE sensors, based on an innovative optical design conceived by #OHBItalia, are the key asset allowing a successful #observation of the sky to discover space objects, both natural ( #asteroids) and manmade ( #satellites and #debris).
The deployment of a
#network of FLYEYE telescopes will allow to catalogue High-LEO, MEO and GEO objects.
Currently the FLYEYE prototype developed for ESA in the frame of the
#SSA program for the NEO detection and monitoring is almost completed at OHB Italia facility.
