OHB Italia is seeking for its Satellites Department in Milano for immediate start a
SYSTEM ENGINEER for IR CAMERA (M/F) REF.MEOP.03.2022
Your Tasks:
- Technical coordination of a multidiscipline engineering team (thermal, structural, mechanical, optical, electrical) with the focus on the following output:
- IR detection Instrument Architecture Definition and Justification
- Interface Concepts and Definition
- Development Logic Definition
- Manufacturing and testing
- Image Processing
- Perform analyses of functional, performance and interface requirements
- Coordinate design and development activities related to guarantee the system performance of the IR Instrument
Ensure compatibility of the Instrument design with the mission e.g. Science, Earth Observation - Work in collaboration with Architects and Subsystem engineers
- Mission performance budgets
Coordination of system performance-relevant analyses - Ensure proper flow-down and allocation of Satellite requirements and budgets to subsystem level specifications and maintain them up to date during the program lifetime
- Ensure design integrity, perform requirements analysis and trade-off as answer to customer specifications
- Lead IR Instrument system level integration and verification effort with focus on electro-optical characterization
- Evaluation of test data generated by manufacturer during performance testing
- Contribute to the technology development and maturity process (TRL) in the context of IR detector technology
- Support technical discussion with the customer
- Contribute to define, select, and technically manage the subcontractors (if any)
- Contribute to the project risk management for risks of technical nature
Your Qualifications:
- University / polytechnic degree or PhD in Physics or Engineering, ideally in one of the areas of MTP Engineering
- At least 8+ years of professional experience in design, development and verification activities for space projects in MTP area
- Ability to lead and guide a project related MTP engineering team in combination with technical leadership capability
- Strong focus on reaching progress by thinking and communicating in terms of solutions, and the ability of reaching goals under schedule pressure
- Excellent communication skills, combined with the ability to work in in-ternational and multi-disciplinary teams
- Fluent in English in reading and writing – proven certificate, Other language skills are a plus
