Your Tasks

  • Responsible for space projects proposal coordination, preparation and submission to the company’s main customers: European Space Agency and Italian Space Agency.
  • Under the supervision of the head of the proposal department, you will organize and coordinate the proposal process, following company standard procedures and customer procurement rules, in collaboration with project managers, technical experts, project controllers, contract officers and risk manager.
  • You will assure proper interaction and coordination with the external partners participating to the proposal, providing and/or requesting necessary contributions.
  • You will review, organize, and edit documentation to be included in the proposal to improve clarity and to assure compliance to RFP requirements.
    o In particular, you will edit the proposal cover letter, the management and the financial volumes, in accordance to customer RFP requirements, including, but not limited to: description of the industrial team, specific background, work breakdown structure , deliverable list, schedule and cost sheets.
  • You will interact with the customer in order to manage RFP clarifications and intended invitation to tenders.
  • You are requested to assure timely submission of the proposal to the customer , according to due date and the required submission process.
  • You will update and maintain contacts with major industrial partners of the space sector in Italy and Europe.
  • You will update and maintain the company marketing and proposals database.
    Your Qualifications.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management/Business or Aerospace/Aeronautics Engineering.
  • Ideal candidate should have 3+ years of professional experience in space industry in a similar position or as system engineer /project manager for ESA/ASI programs.
  • Strong and effective communication, writing, and computer skills are essential.
  • Knowledge and experience with office procedures, systems, and protocols required.
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Experience with European Space Agency procurement rules is preferred.
  • High level of flexibility, willingness to work in international teams and ability to keep tight schedules.
  • High motivation, pro-active working approach and strong sense of responsibility.
  • Strong capability of leading proposal teams with good communication skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
