Electrical and Power Engineer m/f Ref.EPS_24
The “Electrical Power Systems, EMC & Harness Engineering” unit belongs to the “Integrated Systems-Satellites & Missions” BU. We are responsible for the Harness and Electrical Power Subsystem architecture leading relevant engineering activities in the whole lifecycle of projects and/or products, from initial conceiving and feasibility studies, bids and proposal preparation, design and implementation, up to launch, LEOP and in orbit operations and maintenance.
Your Tasks:
- Definition of the Electrical Power subsystem architecture
- Requirement analysis, flow down and subsystem architectures trade-off
- Electrical power analysis and performance verification
- Assess energy balance, resources sizing and justification
- Customer and Subco’s technical follow-up
- Electrical Power Subsystem IVVQ at spacecraft level
- Electrical Power Subsystem support to S/C AIT tests and launch campaign
- Participation to bids for solution identification and costing definition
- Afford related R&D activities
In this role You will be in charge of covering the following tasks:
- Assess and analyze mission Operational Requirement Documents, ORD.
- Interface main peers, (i.e. AEL Arch, Sys E2E , Avionics, Payloads..)
- Implement Electrical architectures
- Review of equipment data packages and technical management of RFWs / RFDs
- Assess electrical I/F resources, sizing and budgets
- Implement Power architecture in simulation environments
- Assess energy balance, resources sizing and justification
- Participate to the reviews with the suppliers
- Review and discussion of customer requirements
- Participate to the reviews with the customer
- Support to perform System and S/S IVVQ
- Support for NCR management and closure
- Support to evaluation of requirement change
- Support AIV across Product Life cycles
- Support OPS team for SVTs, FOP, LEOP sims, LEOP and commissioning
Your Qualifications:
- You have a Master Degree in Electronic, Electrical or Telecommunication Engineering, with explicit focus on radio frequency and EMC.
- You are fluent in English (C1 and above certification) both listening and reading.
- You have 3 years of experience in similar position in at least one of these application fields:
Earth Observation program / spacecraft design and test phases up to the launch / LEOP and
commissioning, or Navigation / Telecom platform with Transfer phase accomplished through
Electric Propulsion means.
Specific knowledge:
You have a demonstrable knowledge of:
- System requirements analysis, flow down and verification
- Electrical and power design and sizing
- Definition and management of design documentation: specifications, performance analysis, interfaces, budgets, validation.
- Analysis, simulation a validation of supply systems and equipment for mission scenario fulfilment
- Support to satellite test campaign during AIT, launch and in-orbit phases for power sim predictions
- Basis of Electromagnetics
- RLC filters and circuit theory
- Power conditioning systems such as Shunt (S2R, S3R, S4R) and MPPT (Buck, Boost)
- Matlab / Simulink/Orcad programming
- (Electrical engineering standards is considered a plus)
