CAD DESIGNER m/f  Ref. CAD_EQUIP_2025

 Tasks

• Collaborate with system engineer (project responsible) for mechanical design requirement definition and discussion.
• Collaborate with thermal and structural engineers to accommodate complex systems.
• Create 3D designs for space equipment.
• Create 2D manufacturing and technical assembly, and ICD drawings, as well as project-level documentation.
• Optimize equipment’s mechanical design to improve performance and reliability.
• Perform fast-prototypes for quick validation of design.
• Specify, select, and acquire necessary components required for mechanical designs.
• Manage part lists and libraries including standard mechanical and electrical components.

 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in 3D and 2D modelling with SIEMENS NX.
• Experience in both thermal & structural design (is an advantage).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the mechanical design of mechanical/structural systems (in space field is a plus).
• Knowledge of materials (metallic and composite), coatings, and adhesives.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience gathering technical requirements and developing technical specifications and documentation.
• Experience in relationships with Customers and with Subcontractors and Suppliers during his/her past work.
• System-oriented thinking and vision.
• Awareness and sensitivity for cost and schedule impacts.
