Business Development Manager

OHB Italia is seeking for its offices in Rome for immediate start a

Business Development Manager (m/f) Ref.BD_2022

Responsibilities:

• Develop a strong understanding of OHB Italia’s product, services and capabilities within the broader context of the Italian and international space industry
• Identifying business opportunities in accordance with OHB Italia’s strategic goals
• Maintaining extensive knowledge of the institutional space industry landscape and forecasting its evolution with respect to programs from the Italian Space Agency, Italian MoD, European Space Agency, and other relevant Italian/EU institutional space procurement agencies
• Maintaining extensive knowledge of the commercial space industry market and forecasting its evolution and related business opportunities
• Identify potential customers and partners in the target market and perform appropriate research on the prospective customer’s and supplier’s business and needs
• Establishing and maintaining outstanding customer and partner relationships across the value chain
• Participate in the preparation of Business Plan and Strategic Plan
• Implement and optimize internal processes and tools used to assess and pursue business opportunities
• Promote OHB Italia’s products, services and capabilities at conferences, workshops and other events
• Reporting to the Head of Business Development and Marketing

Qualifications:

• University Master Degree or equivalent in engineering, ideally aerospace
• 5+ year experience in a business development environment in the Italian aerospace industry
• Good knowledge of both Italian and international space market and value chain
• Ability to define strategies for capturing business opportunities, including overall market dynamics assessment, competitive assessments, pricing strategy and negotiation strategy
• Proactive team player with strong relationship building qualities
• Leading personality with ability to communicate effectively and drive results
• Outstanding communication skills at executive management and governmental level
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel
• Languages: Fluent Italian and English language skills (spoken and written)
